The original plan was to never show the characters up close. The reasoning was twofold:
- The low resolution artwork leaves a little something to the player’s imagination. Not having closeups ought to help with the immersion.
- I wasn’t sure I could pull off convincing enough faces and expressions.
Gotta say this young man turned out better than I’d hoped for – rather handsome even. Might have to revise my guideline about the closeups…
